Story to Script: Writing Intensive
Write your Feature Screenplay in 6 weeks!
Course: $1999
I wrote a screenplay in one day.
Yes, that's right. One day. Is that a mind blowing concept to you? Want to learn how I did it? I had a plan - an outline. A deadline. And an accountability partner. Yes, it's that simple. Professional screenwriters kick out multiple screenplays each year in order to sell. So, because we have families to feed, we don't have years to execute each script. We need a process. TPP's Story to Script Course is that process. You've been talking about it forever. You really want to see your movie on the big screen. So, let's do it. Let's leave the "What If's" behind. |
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
That's me. Shannan E. Johnson, a former creative executive turned script consultant. But, more importantly, I'm your cheerleader, your coach, your accountability partner. I'm here with the tough love to get you to your goals of finishing your screenplay. Read my full bio here.
I geek out over story. I look at screenplays like puzzles. I find the missing pieces and help you develop the story you want to tell. This isn't one of those courses where you'll be told your story is right or wrong. It's your story. My job is to make sure you execute what you intend to execute and learn how to do so effectively and efficiently. I believe in this process because it works and because it's one of the best ways to prepare you for a professional screenwriting career. If this is the way you want to feed your family, you've got to have a process. Try this one. It works. Can't wait to see you in class. Let's have some fun. |
WHY DOES THIS PROCESS WORK?
Many say that the first draft sucks. And, usually, it does. But what if I told you it doesn't have to suck?
What if I told you that your first draft can be closer to your final draft?
What if I told you that your first draft can be closer to your final draft?
HOW?
In the Story Script course, we take writing the script pages 15 at a time. This gives the writer the opportunity catch holes as they come instead of letting them grow into craters. And they don't have to do it alone. I give Development Notes on each set of 15 pages before the scriptwriter moves on to the next 15. That's page by page, line by line notes, if necessary. And to top it all off, you get more than just the coach's perspective. Your tribe chimes in to give you more feedback, more support, and more motivation to dive deep into yourself and create an impactful story.
Don't get caught up in wondering:
What if I write a bomb story?
What if my screenplay makes it big?
What if I'm the next Shonda Rhimes?
Let's find out. Remember:
My biggest fear is not that I'm inadequate.
My biggest fear is that I am great beyond measure.
